An emergency landing disrupts the nocturnal resurfacing of a runway, while a tearful bridesmaid and a missing minister keep staff busy as the fly-on-the-wall cameras continue to roll at London's Heathrow airport.

Maria has to deal with two passengers who have been stuck at Heathrow for over 24 hours, and flamboyant cabin steward Axel jets in from Iceland.

A chimpanzee awaiting a flight is entertained by animal officer Stuart in the penultimate episode. Meanwhile, Maria copes with hot, hungry and harassed passengers, and paramedic Jane faces a life-threatening emergency.
