Kim moves back in with her mom, Kath, in the premiere episode of this sitcom following a dysfunctional mother-daughter duo and their adventures in middle-class suburbia.

Kath promotes her hair salon in a booth at the mall and asks Kim to model her edgy designs. Meanwhile, Craig's first day at a new job doesn't go well.

Kath feels insecure about her age and the scope of her wedding after Kim suggests she's too old for a lavish celebration. And Kim thinks Craig may be having an affair, so she investigates with help from her friend.
