Emiliano carries out his revenge, and Nava is murdered in cold blood. Octavio goes to Cástulo's house to see Mariana and asks her to be friends.

Emiliano gives a statement about Commander Nava's death and, cornered, reveals that Mariana is the surrogate mother of the child Raquel and Adrián are expecting. The news spreads like wildfire in the newspapers, and Emiliano threatens Orozco.

Cástulo tells Mariana that he does not want her anywhere near his family for having dishonored her mother's memory. Raquel gives Álvaro money in exchange for his silence. Mariana agrees to go out with Octavio, and Emiliano manages to turn Orozco into his ally.
