Tom and his crew try to poison the restaurant owner, but their plan goes awry, leading to a violent encounter. Meanwhile, Tom introduces his girlfriend Bai Ling to the crew. They discuss their financial struggles and Tom's involvement in the dark-web business.

Tom agrees to take a hit from Russ, a job that seems, on the surface, straightforward. The target is a landlord, a small-time parasite with just enough money and just enough enemies to make him disposable. Tom approaches it like he always does... methodical, detached, already half elsewhere in his head. But when the moment comes, something goes wrong. Whether it's hesitation, bad timing, or simple human error, Tom fails to kill the landlord. The target bolts, wounded but alive, and suddenly the job fractures into chaos.

Tom and his crew discuss the film's progress. They hang out with Tom's girlfriend Bai at the boardwalk. Tension rises with Carl on set, leading to a big fight. Despite a brief respite at a dinner, Victor warns Tom about his dark-web jobs.
