Alina plays strategically to make Santiago try to confront Raquel and thus gain custody of Benjamín. She also uses Sammy's death to play the victim and accuse Mía of attempted murder.

After Santiago's accident, Raquel and Carolina grow closer and apologize for having hurt each other through their selfishness. They both decide to trust again and, with a warm embrace, become friends once more.

Raquel suffers as she has to tell Santiago that Damián's recovery depends on his family, and that she simply cannot leave the father of her children alone.
