A freak accident severs a professional cyclist's artery miles from medical help, a kayaker fights to rescue his friend who's trapped upside down in white water rapids, and a backcountry skier is buried alive in a tree well.

Tourists struggle to stay afloat and find loved ones after a capsize in rough seas. Friends search for an expectant father who lost control of his BMX and plunged off a cliff.

Dramatic real-life footage captured by the rescuers themselves; a team sent to recover bodies from a sunken wreck finds one man still alive.
