Anna is found dead in a pond near an abandoned building. The cameraman who worked with her leads Vershinin to a secret apartment and shows the folders in which the journalist kept compromising information on all businessmen. Out of fear for his life, Gubin repents and confesses to Vershinin all the crimes that he and his accomplices committed. Suddenly, a call comes from Medushevsky's phone. Kristina warns that Vershinin has very little time left, because the lawyer is about to leave the country.…

Vershinin has almost recovered from his injury and is ready to return to service. But before he can leave the hospital, an attempt is made in Portovo on Gleb Borisov and Yuri Nikitin, who continued his father's business after his death. The Jura hinders many of those who claim ownership of the port, including the Moscow Resources Corporation, which Medushevsky, who is under investigation, is counting on to support.

Protovoy mayor candidate Alexandra Ilyina gets acquainted with Vershinin. She plans to run her election campaign together with the Interior Ministry and is counting on Andrei's help. To gain his support, Ilyina invites him to a meeting. Meanwhile, Yura encounters a certain Khaletsky, who demands to be allowed to use the port, and, having been refused, begins to threaten Nikitin.
