Matt and Lorin run a sanctuary for rescued wolves and combat veterans. Matt and the team rescue Sadira, a grey wolf out of a backyard in Oregon, while US Army veteran Albert joins the team as he tries to mend his relationship with his family.

When a nearby animal sanctuary with more than 400 animals is threatened by a California wildfire, the LARC team races to assist in the evacuation. A tumor is discovered on LARC's elder statesmen, an almost 20-year old wolf named Blade.

Matt and the veterans are called when a neglected and aggressive wolf dog named Apache needs to be removed from the rough conditions of a suburban neighborhood home. Apache finds comfort at LARC, and the love and companionship of a female wolf.
