Elsewhere, Della is unimpressed with the state of the rental market, but when Grampy discovers a health-hazard, it is a stroke of luck that may be the answer to her prayers.

Aretha stuns Della with a request to go to school, prompting memories from Della and Grampy. Germaine brings her new boyfriend over.

Aretha's new life at college leaves Germaine feeling left out so she fakes a pregnancy scare, leading Della to recruit Germaine to work a shift with her at the Pound Lord to show her life in the real world.
