In the series pilot, hotel matriarch Edwina Nutt puts her ne'er-do-well grandson in charge of stopping a hostile takeover by a Texas hotel magnate.

Ms. Frick can't prove her U.S. citizenship to an immigration inspector, but the solution to the problem alienates eligible bachelor Tarkington.

Tarkington eludes frisky Ms. Frick's embrace only to fall under the spell of a younger woman who's in cahoots with an international thief.
