Mauricio wants Juan Pablo to believe that he has resigned himself to losing Miranda. J.P. sets a trap for Mauricio to find out what happens between him and Miranda every time he is away.

Olivia tells Carmen that she suspects Miranda is pregnant and that the child she is expecting is Mauricio's. Juan Pablo finds out that Mauricio already knows the truth.

Olivia pressures Mauricio by threatening to reopen the case; they could request blood tests to rule out any pregnancy. Mauricio becomes uneasy. Juan Pablo enters Miranda's room holding a gun.
