The ‘90s unleashed a wide range of television shows, from animated hits like "South Park" and "Beavis and Butthead" to sitcoms like "Seinfeld" and "Friends" to dramas like "My So-Called Life" and "The Sopranos."

Bill Clinton's presidency began and ended with controversy spanning from an inability to reform America's health care system to a sex scandal that led to impeachment.

Beginning with the Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill hearings, the '90s saw a succession of racially fueled events from Al Sharpton and the Crown Height riots, to Rodney King and the LA riots, to O.J. Simpson and his murder trial.
