Ryan is a typical high school freshman until he discovers he has the extraordinary ability to control technology with his mind and his superpower awakens MECH-X4, a 150-foot fighting robot. When monsters descend upon the Bay City High, Ryan enlists his two best friends, Spyder and Harris, and his brother Mark to help him operate MECH-X4 and save their school.

When an ooze-infected Harris starts turning into a monster, the team goes on a mission to find a cure.

Ryan uses his "technopathic" powers to access a powerful laser for the team to use and crack open the captive monster's heart.
